The plain-English version of what this site collects, what it does with it, and what it never does. Last updated 18 September 2026.
Forms you choose to send. The contact form and the Appeal Review form collect what you type — name, email, PCN number, your description — plus any photos you attach. These are used solely to reply to you and, for the Appeal Review, to assess your ticket. Photos submitted for an Appeal Review are deleted once the review is complete, and within 30 days at the latest. Form submissions are processed and stored by Netlify, this site’s hosting provider.
Advertising and affiliate links. This site carries no advertising. Some links are affiliate links (car hire, and booking a parking space through JustPark via the Awin network). If you click one, the destination site is passed a referral code so any booking can be credited here, and that company will handle your data under its own privacy policy. Nothing about you is shared with them unless you click.
Basic analytics. Aggregate search data (via Google Search Console) shows which pages and searches bring people here. It is anonymous and used to decide what to write next.
On your device only. Small features like saved streets and dismissed banners use your browser’s local storage. That data stays on your device and is never sent anywhere.
Community accounts and posts. If you join the community, your email address is used to sign you in (by emailed link) and is stored by Supabase, the service that runs the community database. Your chosen display name, your posts, replies, votes and any reports you make are stored with your account and shown publicly under that display name — your email is never shown. Posts you make may be labelled, corrected or removed by the site officer, and the label stays on the post. You can delete your own posts and replies at any time, and you can ask for your whole account and everything attached to it to be deleted using the contact form. Supabase records the usual technical logs (such as IP address) needed to run the service securely.
Netlify (hosting and form handling), Supabase (the community database and sign-in emails), affiliate networks (Awin and Discover Cars — only if you click an affiliate link, which passes a referral code so the booking can be credited), OpenStreetMap and Leaflet (maps on some pages, which load map tiles from their servers), and Buy Me a Coffee (the tip jar, an external site with its own privacy policy). None of them receive your form submissions except Netlify, which processes them; only Supabase holds community account data.
It never sells your information, never shares your Appeal Review photos or details with anyone (including the council), and never signs you up to anything.
You can ask what information is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted at any time — use the contact form and it will be done. If you are unhappy with how your data has been handled you can complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
